Alternative Pain Management Options

Are you seeking alternatives to pain management?
Aspen Integrative’s physicians have specialized training in several treatment modalities integral to holistic pain relief!

Medications, herbs and nutrients can surely help manage pain, but a hands-on approach to full body healing is an integral piece of pain management.

HEALING OPTION #1 – CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Dr. Alexandra Mele has been practicing manual therapy techniques for seven years and continues to build her skills with on-going continuing education. She utilizes both craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation, both gentle hands-on treatment modalities to help patients recover from chronic head trauma, nervous system disorders, surgery, gastrointestinal disorders and many more conditions. Manual therapy utilizes a unique blend of detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology and energetics of the human body to find tissue restrictions caused by both physical and emotional traumas. Dr. Mele is uniquely trained in these manual therapies because she has an even deeper understanding of anatomy as a physician.

Dr. Jamie Flanery enjoys utilizing acupuncture as a healing modality to support chronic pain, nervous system dysregulation and many chronic or unrelenting symptoms. She provides a unique perspective on pathology through the use of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This takes into account energetics of the body systems as well as a patient’s chief concern. Also offered is Chinese cupping, extremely helpful for tight muscles, tissue stagnation and chronic musculoskeletal issues.
Dr. Paul Despres loves helping his patients heal from acute and chronic pain concerns with deep tissue laser therapy. We have the strongest and most deeply tissue penetrating laser in Flagstaff- yes that makes a huge difference! This is the same device most professional sports teams use for injuries during play. Dr. Paul has helped HUNDREDS of patients heal from musculoskeletal injuries (old and new) as well as help with neuroinflammation presenting as brain fog and fatigue with patients experiencing mold sickness, Lyme disease or multiple sclerosis. Sessions are short, effective and painless. We do have packages available!

Regenerative joint injection therapies utilize various ingredients to stimulate the body’s own innate ability to heal and re-generate tissue. Our doctors use prolozone, prolotherapy, and platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) to decrease patients’ pain and increase their mobility. Whatever your goal is, regenerative joint injections can help you meet it. Regenerative joint injections in combination with naturopathic care can help our patients achieve remarkable results.
