WHY SHOULD I SEE A NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIAN?

Naturopathic physicians are highly trained practitioners in a unique system of medicine that has existed for over a century. With a blend of training from both the natural and conventional medical worlds, AIM’s physicians have many diagnostic and treatment tools that allow them to seek the root of the patient’s medical issues and treat the whole person appropriately and effectively. While the physicians at AIM preferentially use natural methods of treatment, we will use conventional treatments if it is in the best interest of the patient. We are also experienced and skilled in offering treatments that may not be thought of as traditionally naturopathic, such as regenerative injections and IV therapy

There are many types of therapies that your naturopathic physician at AIM may use to help your healing process.

• Botanical (herbal) medicine
• Acupuncture
• Vitamins and other supplements
• Hydrotherapy (the therapeutic use of water)
• Regenerative injections like prolotherapy or PRP

HOW DO NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIANS MANAGE PAIN WITHOUT OPIOIDS OR NARCOTICS?

With the opioid crisis we are currently experiencing, naturopathic physicians are suited to help address the crisis. By seeking the root cause of the patient’s pain, AIM’s doctors can help reduce or eliminate the need for pain medication. When the body is allowed to heal, pain is reduced. And we are able to offer other treatments that reduce pain while the healing process is happening, such as acupuncture and perineurial therapy.

DO YOU ACCEPT OR BILL INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, we do not accept or bill insurance, including Medicare. Many times lab work or prescriptions are covered by insurance when one of our doctors orders them. If you have a Health Savings Account or other similar healthcare plan, those often cover our services. We can provide you with appropriate coding to assist you with coverage, too.
